Photography 101

New York has the tendency to exhaust me in less than a week. I arrived last Friday afternoon and hit the ground running. Literally. But, I had a plan. I was to observe, and gauge the tempo of the creative environment in a city that has more happenings in one week than others do in a year. Luckily, I had the help of my friend Dez, and a nifty new camera to capture moments that could only transpire when you least expect.

It is always hard to really define your feelings after someone you know dies. I mean it is even hard to describe it at first. We use the words "passed away" or "gone on home". Through his articulate collections and otherworldly trends, Alexander McQueen invited us into his heart and most importantly into his imagination. Of course many of us didn't know him personally, but upon announcement of his death we all felt like we had lost a good friend.
