Man oh Man!!

A new year, a new day. I am looking forward to see how the world is going to adjust to the current economic situation. I am also looking to see how the fashion industry is going to adjust to the world adjusting to the current economic situation. Many predicted accurately that there would be modifications and many designers did just that. Opting for presentations rather than runway shows. I feel that it is just as effective, and money isn't wasted making clothes simply for runway appeal.

This week Menswear F/W 2010 kicks off in Milan. There is the trade show Pitti Uomo, as well as the shows from Alex McQueen, Etro, John Varvatos ,and Moncler Gamme Bleu. I chose these images from Moncler because I really love a lil' theater in my shows. The concept of young soldiers sleeping in the barracks, and then wake up to a bugle only to dress in functional and crisp outerwear was phenomenal. But I expect nothing less coming from a Thom Browne whose previous runway show for Moncler was viewed poolside.
